I'm always surprised, yes every time, when I hear someone say that they were fine, everything else was fine, before Bush took office. It is as if, all he had to do is make the presidential oath and immediately everything went down the tube. Is that reasonable? Is it possible? How can well-meaning, intelligent people believe this?

Not me. I'm way better off now than I was when Bush took office.

Of course, I got off my unemployed ass in 2001 and got a job in a new city, which tends to make you a lot better off than if you just sit around whining that all the jobs left.

Yes I'm bitter, AT politicians that have been in Washington making decisions that have been against the views of majority
of the american people "and now blame us for the mess they have created". Any politician who has been in congress for more than one term should admit they are the PROBLEM!! Congress is like the shepard that leads his flock into a barren dangerous land & now blames the sheep that they are bitter, hungry, & rember how good things were under a republican congress. Now the sheep find liberal programs have & incompent leaders brought near disaster. (As our founders did, is it time to fight "taxation with out representation & a very oppresive government. Ask to sirits of those killed at Waco, & now familes being tormented in Texas & christians being denied rights in public school. Is it time to find comfort in religion & guns? (Are we loseing to BIG SOCIALST GOVERNMENT & TO THE ELITIST?) GOVERNING.)

re: news. The food riots in the news the other day were the scariest thing I've seen in a long while. You don't know bad until you know unrelenting hunger.
